Family Support

When i decide on what job i want i'm going to ask my family what they think. What they say will have a great impact on me, but overall it's my decision. I would hope they would be happy with what i decide and i would hate to lose the support of one of them just because they dont want me to have the job that i've decided.

Your Ideal Self

I dont know what kind of job i want yet, but whatever it is i hope i love it and i can still have time for my family. I want to get married and have children. I want to have a big family. I want to spend a lot of time with them and be a better mother to them than my mom was to me. Im gonna make sure they know i love them and im not gonna try to buy their love. I hope we will be able to travel a lot. I really would want my family to see the world. I hope i have lots of friends and im a cool mom. I want my childrens friends to feel welcome at my house and i want to have parties there. I dont know if ill be living here or not i hope ill be somewhere by the beach.

Teenagers

  • some positive aspects of being a teenager we dont really have to pay for anything and we dont have too many things to worry about
  • some negative aspects of being a teenager is that we cant do a lot of things that adults can and we have to live our lives how our parents want us to
  • some major concerns for teenagers is to fit in and be popular. we have pressure to do what everyone else is doing.
  • what i would tell the younger kids is that what people think really doesnt matter and dont do things just to fit in you can find better friends who wont pressure you

Trust

1 I can completely trust britney and some family members.
2 I've know britney and my family for like ever and the trust has built up and i know they wont do anything to break it.
3 I think i can trust 5 people completely because they havent done anything to make me think otherwise.
4 I try really hard not to say the things people have asked me not to. I care about what people say and i respect them.
5 I usually take it slow and dont expect them to trust me again right away it takes baby steps once you screw something up eventually the trust will come back.

Friends

Friends are people you can have fun with and be yourself around.
My best friend is britney and we have so much fun together.
Friendship is a bound with friends.
Having a friend is good thing to have.
I trust friends because well i dont really trust all my friends because they do things to lose my trust.
To be a friend is to be trustworthy and loyal and to think of them over yourself.
When i talk about my best friend I get a smile on my face because we always laugh together.

my current grade: 82.0
i will use my final week to work.

They did it in spite of...

President Franklin Roosevelt had polio and was unable to walk.
I think this one is really cool because it shows that even if you have a dissability you can still rule a country. He didn't let his dissability get in his way and he didn't let him overcome him, he overcame it.
Nelson Mandela remained the recognized leader of south african blacks despite spending more than 27 years as a political prisoner, and was elected president after his release.
It's cool how he was a prisoner and ended up as the president. He went through things that he can now apply to his presidancy and be a better president.
Albert Einstein was considered mentally dull as a youth.
He ended up being the smartest person to ever live. It's amazing how you can be seen as a dumb person and change and become the smartest.

What's Your Excuse

I think some excuses are pretty reasonable. They might not excuse you for something but they can definetly be a reason. Some people use excuses just to get out of something that was their fault which not cool.

I have used some excuses myself:
I'm a woman
I'm not smart enough
I'm too fat

Quotes

The first quote is saying that money and the things you can buy with it are a good thing, but you need to make sure that while you are spending your money you aren't losing the things you can't buy. Some people spend all their time on making money because they think it will bring them happiness, but sometimes while you are working so hard to get the money you lose things that matter more and that can bring you real happiness. Money with only make you content for a litte while; soon you'll be wanting something else.

The next quote is saying that this woman would rather have a real man that loves her instead of a man that just buys her things. A lot of woman get confused by all the money men have. They think they love them just because he buys her nice things. Deep down i would like to think that woman want love not just what some man can buy her and say is love. Some woman get so caught up in the men's money that even if the man is terrible and abbusive they stay with them because he has money. They end up losing everything and the people that love them most because they are blinded by the money that he makes.

Status

I don't base every decision i make on what other people think. They do have some influence but the overall decision i make. My closest family members and friends' opinions matter to me most. They know me the best and are basing their opinion on what's best for me. A rock star has more influence than a teacher or politician because we look up to them and they have a higher status in our minds. We want to be them and we will do what they do.

It is important to me to have a job with a high status.
agree
I am willing to invest the time it takes to train for a job with a high status.
agree
It is important to me that a job has status than it pays well.
disagree
I don't think i could be happy at a job that others might look down on.

Poverty

I can understand how a lot of people in America are in poverty because living costs a lot of money. I think it's fair that men make more money then woman in most jobs because men mostly take the more hard-working jobs while woman take jobs like being a secretary. When they don't make as much as men do when they are in the same job then ya something is wrong.

What do you think contributes to poverty in this country?

People thinking they don't have to work. Some people don't work and just expect the government to help them which is so dumb.

What might cause you to become one of these statistics?

If i don't get a good enough job to support myself.

How can you prevent that from happening?

To make sure i do well in school and learn a lot.

Accomplishments

1.What is the defintion of "accomplishment"?

the action of accomplishing something
skill: an ability that has been acquired by training

2. Write a paragraph about your accomplishments in life so far.

Well when i was a little baby and i began to grow up i accomplished learning how to walk and talk and ya know the basics. I've accomplished passing each grade from preschool to my sophmore year and i hope i pass my upcoming junior year. I have received a lot of awards for cheerleading. I haven't accomplished anything really big for right now they are all little things. Hopefully in the future i can accomplish some big things.

3. Write a paragraph about who you think is an accomplished person and why?

I think my dad is very accomplished. He's been through a lot and he's still here and doing well. At his job he has gone the highest he can and is receiving the most amount of money he can get. He has been through a divorce and came out of it strong. When i moved in with him he took on the responsibility and is doing a great job. He has given up many things for me. When he was younger he had an oppurtunity to become a proffesional baseball player, but gave that dream up to start a family and have me! I've very proud of him.

4. Make a list of 10 things you want to accomplish in your lifetime.
  • I want to have a great job.
  • I want to have a family.
  • I want to help people.
  • Do something extrordinary.
  • I want to live life to the fullest.
  • Not take days i have and the time i have with people for granted.
  • I want to have lots of true friends.
  • I want to have a hotttt body.
  • I want to adopt a black kid from africa.
  • I want to have a nice life.

Three Wishes

Wish #1 You can go anywhere in time.
I would want to go to the time where Jesus died to see if he really was crucified and risen again. I would want to experience the time back then and the way they lived. I would want to see him on the cross and experience the mouring that everyone went through and the joy when he rose from the grave. It would be cool to see if it really did happen.

Wish #2 You can be anyone in the world for 24 hours.
I would want to be an astronaut because when i was younger i wanted to be one. I would experience the wonder of space. It would be fun to float around and walk on the moon. I would take some moon dust back to show everyone. :] I'd be able to see everything that you see from the earth up close. The adrenaline rush of taking off and landing would be awesome.

Wish #3 You have the power to fix something in the world today.
I would fix a lot of things! But since i have to change one thing it would be the hatred and greed and stuff in the world. If everyone was nice and treated people the way they want to be treated the world would be a better place to live in. I hate that you can't walk around your town without fear that they'll be kidnapped and stuff. I wish we didn't always have to lock our front doors and not leave stuff in the front yard from fear of it being stolen. If everyone were better people and didn't have the desire to do bad things everyone would be better off.

Ivy Elms

This story is about a very wealthy and powerful woman named Ivy Elms. She is being interviewed by a reporter from the "Daily Bugle" named Ivy Elms. She begins telling him that even though she lived her dream and is now successful and powerful she wonders what her life would be like if she had a family. With the rewards that come you get costs too. Someone can be happy with the wealth and power they have, but they might have been happier, healthier, and better off with less of that stuff.

I don't think money can buy someone happiness. I think you'll be happy for a while, but sooner or later you might not be happy anymore and you start to wonder what if. I think it's good to go for your goal and get it, but what are you losing when you get it. With anything someone does you get the good and bad side of things.
